Man Group, the global alternative investment management firm, has entered into an agreement to acquire Bardin Hill, a New York-based private credit manager with $3.0 billion in assets under management. Bardin Hill specializes in opportunistic and performing credit strategies, including US distressed and special situations investments, non-sponsor backed direct lending, and broadly syndicated loan CLOs.
The acquisition strengthens Man Group's credit platform, which now manages nearly $40 billion in assets across 10 specialist teams and over 100 credit professionals. Bardin Hill's experienced leadership team, averaging 22 years in the industry, will remain in place, leveraging Man Group's global distribution network to attract new investors.
